Date night in Alaska
The Anchorage singles scene is hopping, although it can be rough for straight men, with Alaska’s huge gender imbalance. With 114 single men for every 100 single women, it’s a women’s market out there. Not to mention the distances involved, if you meet someone who lives in the next town over, you could be in for a pretty long commute back and forth.
Once you find someone, where do you go? Here are three great places to kick back and have a romantic evening in Anchorage.
Club Paris has been Anchorage’s top romantic restaurant for decades, and for good reason. They pair up some of the best steak, lobster, and prime rib in Anchorage with a dimly lit interior that will have you and your date feeling cozy and special.
Not only is the Crow’s Nest one of Anchorage’s only fine French restaurants, it also has some of the best views in town. Perched atop the Hotel Captain Cook, this is the place to go if you really want to impress your date.
This cute little bistro features fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, and is particularly known for their amazing seafood.
